Behind our Scene

1. Herding & Collecting

Our pashmina is collected at over 4’000 meters above sea level by herders in the Himalayan Changthang highlands. The delicate hair of the pashmina goat is carefully hand-combed to preserve quality and natural beauty, ensuring the finest wool while respecting the well-being of both humans and animals.

3. Spinning & Dyeing

In the so-called ‘Valley of the Saints’, the spinning of the luxurious yarn is usually carried out by Kashmiri women. This tradition, integral to pashmina production, has been passed down through generations and, due to the decline of the craft, serves as an important source of livelihood for the women and the entire community in Kashmir.

2. Sorting & Cleaning

The raw pashm is bought from the Changpa herders and transported through the remote area to Leh, where it is carefully cleaned and sorted. Only a third of the natural pashm fiber will be used to make the smooth, high-quality yarn, which is then taken from the capital of Ladakh to Srinagar in Kashmir in a day’s journey.

Weaving

Our scarves are handcrafted on traditional looms by Kashmiri artisans who still master the craft. Depending on the pattern, weaving a piece can take several days. Due to the rise of mass production and convenient consumption, we aim to preserve this cultural heritage to ensure that people, nature, and animals receive the appreciation they deserve to live dignified lives.

Values & Ethics

Quality over Quantity

Each of our pieces was made by hand with care and devotion, and is one-of-a-kind. They are the legacy of hundreds of years  of passed-down knowledge, representing a tradition that has maintained its intricate, high-quality standards over centuries, despite the fast pace of our time.

People over Profit

At the heart of our ethos is global collaboration founded on appreciation, fairness, and social responsibility. As a brand grounded in mutual respect and transparency, and driven by purpose, we embody the essence of mindful craftsmanship and sustainable prosperity.

Integrity over Ignorance

True elegance means walking with integrity. It lies in respecting Mother Earth, her generous offerings, and in honouring time and the human hand. Due to the rise of mass production, we aim to preserve this cultural heritage to ensure that people, nature, and animals receive the appreciation they deserve.
